Night Waves is a four channel sound installation presented on four speakers mounted on stands. It is based around hours of nocturnal scanning through short wave radio frequencies listening for voice transmissions from around the world.

Short wave radio is a cheap and powerful means of communication which can give voice to political uprising and rebellion as, unlike the internet it is impossible to control. And, in parts of the world where internet connection isn’t widespread, short wave radio is still a vital medium for people to feel a sense of connection to the wider world.
